IMN Editorial Director to Moderate Autonomous Vehicle Panel Discussion at MIT

WALTHAM, Mass. - May 8, 2012 - IMN, the digital marketing company that delivers branded newsletters and content for vertical markets, today announced that Editorial Director Craig Fitzgerald will moderate a panel discussion, "The Autonomous Vehicle: 2012," at an event hosted by the New England Motor Press Association and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Taking place on May 11, the panel will examine advances in satellite guidance, object detection, all-weather imaging, vehicle-to-vehicle communication and even legislation that are bringing the driverless car closer to reality.

Self-directing vehicles should improve traffic safety and fuel efficiency while reducing congestion, and bring about a revolution in personal mobility unlike any since the dawn of the automobile itself. Fitzgerald, previously an editor at Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine and former president of the New England Motor Press Association, will moderate the panel of leading automotive, engineering, connectivity and other professionals who will discuss efforts to create the autonomous vehicle and the infrastructure necessary to support it.
